how do you fix microsoft security downloads vista home premium? how do you fix microsoft security downloads vista home premium? ive tried everything turning off anti virus firewaal etc. system restore. everything.reinstalling updates, ie7 doesnt work anymore either, I use mozilla and love it, but am wondering if it could have anything to do with it? Is it practically true that cracked Microsoft applications are vulnerable to security threats ? One will agree that most of the Windows OS we use is not genuine. To save cost on the original product, people tend to go for the cracked ones. Microsoft declares that such versions are vulnerable to security threats. All that is missing with cracked versions is a valid installation key and everything else is the same as the original version. When i run Spybot i always get one entry that states that Microsoft Security Center Disabled.? It is a registry change apparently. It is to run at start-up. I fix the problem and imunize with spybot but it always shows up in spybot as - Microsoft Redirect Hosts- . I also seem to have alot more pop-ups than usual. Is it Ad-Ware? Can old Microsoft security updates for XP be removed without causing problems? I am trying to remove programs not used on our home computer, since recently it has been running a little slow. No pictures on hard drive, all on CD's and have removed programs we no longer use; i.e. games, etc. While doing this I noticed, that microsoft has many security updates for our XP version in our "add or remove" file. Microsoft Security Esssentials removed Trojan, but says to delete the software. What are they talking about? After running a full scan, MSE discovered two Trojan:Win 32 and says that it deleted it. But it recommands that I remove the software. But it does not say which software. When I read what kind of Trojan it is, it says that it attacks Adobe Reader, Flash Player. Why does my microsoft security update prompt keep coming back? Microsoft Security Updates has reminded me that there is a new security download: .NET framework 1.1 service pack 1. I have attempted to install it several times and afterward it says that it has been successfully installed. I shut down my computer but when rebooted, the same reminder comes up for the exact same download. What security settings can I change in order to type emails in Microsoft Outlook Web Access? I have a Microsoft Outlook Web Access account that I log into for work. However, since I got my new laptop, I have not been able to type messages when I log into my account from my laptop. I get logged into the account and when I get ready to send a new message there is a red (x) in the section where you would type the message. This is not a problem with my desktop pc as it works fine and allows me to type and send messages from the desktop. The only problem is it won't let me type anything in the message body when I log into the account from my laptop. Is there a security setting that I need to change in order to correct this issue?

My Day had forgotten the password which comes up basically as soon as you press the on switch. I have lost my name and picture from my XP Welcome Screen since downloading security updates from Microsoft? Since some new security updates were dowloaded from Microsoft, I have lost my name and pictures from my Welcome Screen on my computer. I just get the word 'Welcome' I go into Control Panel - User Accounts and there it shows my name and picture that should be on the Welcome Screen but it only shows up on the Welcome Screen if I add a password to it which I then have to use to access my computer which is a waste of time as I am the only one who uses it anyway.
